Hi, I'm David Jackson

I'm just off the back of getting a Games design degree from Abertay and am excited for what the future brings.

I use Itch.io as a way to show off games that I've been working on and have built up a small collection of games created in and out of university, each with specific goals in mind.

My most recent game I've made is a children's action adventure RPG, "Meerkat Man", which was a client piece commissioned by an 11 year old, who's imagination was hard to keep up with!

"It's not fair" is my honours project which got me shortlisted for a prize! It's an approachable portrayal of grief in game form that uses both grief psychology research and good games design practice to create a resonant and edifying game centred around tough themes.

"The Adventure Game" is a game that pushes a meta game narrative to it's limits. It can be a wee bit hard to keep up with at times but it was a good exercise of seeing how far I could take a layered narrative in a 20-30 minute experience.

I've also worked as part of a team, creating games for DARE Academy 2023 and a university professional project for Modern Wolf.
